Accessing Your Profile

Your user profile contains your personal information, preferences, and account settings. To access it:
  1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of any page
  2. Select “Profile Settings” from the dropdown menu
  3. You’ll be taken to your profile management page

Profile Information

Basic Information

Your profile includes the following information:
  • First Name: Your given name
  • Last Name: Your surname
  • Email Address: Primary email for your account
  • Profile Picture: Avatar displayed throughout Opsmatic
  • User ID: Unique identifier for your account
  • Join Date: When you created your Opsmatic account
  • Last Login: Your most recent login timestamp
  • Account Status: Active, pending verification, etc.
  • Profile Completion: Whether you’ve completed initial setup
  • First Connection: If you’ve added any automation platforms
  • Organization Membership: Teams you’ve joined or created

Editing Your Profile

Updating Personal Information

Navigate to Profile Settings

Click your avatar > Profile Settings

Select Personal Info Tab

Click on the “Personal Info” tab if not already selected

Edit Fields

Click on any field to edit your information:
  • First and last name
  • Email address (requires verification)
  • Phone number (optional)

Save Changes

Click “Save Changes” to update your profile

Changing Your Profile Picture

You can update your profile picture in several ways:
  1. Click on your current profile picture
  2. Select “Upload Image”
  3. Choose an image file (JPG, PNG, GIF)
  4. Crop and resize as needed
  5. Click “Save”

Account Settings

Email Management

Changing your email address requires verification and may affect your social login connections.
To change your email:

Go to Personal Info

Navigate to Profile Settings > Personal Info

Click Edit Email

Click the edit icon next to your email address

Enter New Email

Provide your new email address

Verify Email

Check your new email for a verification link

Confirm Change

Click the verification link to complete the change

Password Management

Only applicable if you signed up with email/password
  1. Go to Profile Settings > Security
  2. Click “Change Password”
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Create a new strong password
  5. Confirm the new password
  6. Click “Update Password”
Your password must meet these requirements:
  • At least 8 characters long
  • Contains uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Includes at least one number
  • Contains at least one special character
  • Not a commonly used password
If you forgot your password:
  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click “Forgot Password?”
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for reset instructions
  5. Follow the link to create a new password

Privacy Settings

Profile Visibility

Control who can see your profile information:

Organization Members

Team members in your organizations can see your basic profile (name, avatar)

Private Information

Your email and personal details are always private unless explicitly shared

Data Management

You can export your personal data:
  1. Go to Profile Settings > Privacy
  2. Click “Export My Data”
  3. Choose export format (JSON, CSV)
  4. Receive download link via email

Managing Notifications

Access Notification Settings

Go to Profile Settings > Notifications

Toggle different notification categories on/off

Choose how often you want to receive certain notifications:
  • Immediately
  • Daily digest
  • Weekly summary
  • Never

Organization Context

Your profile adapts based on your organization memberships:

Organization Switching

If you’re a member of multiple organizations:
  1. Click the organization dropdown in the top navigation
  2. Select the organization you want to work with
  3. Your dashboard and connections will update to show that organization’s data

Role-Based Access

Your profile shows different options based on your role:

Owner

Full access to organization settings, billing, and member management

Admin

Manage connections, invite members, view analytics

Member

View dashboards and analytics, limited connection management

Troubleshooting Profile Issues

Common Problems

Solutions:
  • Clear browser cache
  • Wait up to 10 minutes for CDN refresh
  • Try uploading a different image format
  • Check image file size (max 5MB)
Solutions:
  • Check spam folder for verification email
  • Ensure new email isn’t already in use
  • Try a different email provider
  • Contact support if verification link expires
Solutions:
  • Refresh the page
  • Log out and log back in
  • Clear browser cookies
  • Try incognito/private browsing mode

Keep Information Current

Regularly update your profile information, especially email addresses

Periodically check your connected accounts and organization memberships

Enable 2FA and use strong passwords for enhanced security
